TTC Gallery præsenterer den tredje udstilling i rækken af Sylvester Hegner, Peter Larsen, Mads Lindberg og Markus von Platen’s kunstneriske gruppeprojekt.
Gennem maleri, skulptur, tegning og fotografi undersøger og fortolker de fire kunstnere en række symboler og begivenheder, samt betydningen i deres pågældende tid og sted.
Udstillingen tager med et populærkulturelt historisk afsæt, fat i tider, bevægelser og begivenheder omkring hippiegenerationens ønske om fri kærlighed, kollektiv revolution og bevidsthedsudvidende rejser, samt slutfirsernes senere neopsykedeliske ravebølge og dens dyrkelse af ecstacy og trancemusik. Udstillingen fokuserer på disse to perioders forskellige og fælles idealer; og hvordan de optager og forandre æstetik og historie.

"Hot and Steamy" is a debutant exhibition featuring PoKKrePoK AKA danish artist
Kresten Lindskov.
The show will feature both zines and paintings
in the same spirit of cartoonish styled exotic craziness, that has characterized
many of PoKs previous works. Most prominently the show will also feature a new
zine entitled "Sorte sider" (Black pages ed.), the 6th zine from PoKs
hand, which
paradoxically though is mostly in color.
Last but not least there will be a serving of miniburgers on the opening night!

Finally our new book about zines are ready!
This 200 pages book consists of material from over 80 zine artist from around the world. Through images and text we present a wide range of artistic and graphic zines and the people behind them.
4 large interviews with Mike Diana, Alex Lukas, Islands Fold and Smittekilde, highlight different aspects of the culture and 10 small interviews focus on the mind and motivation of these dedicated artists.
We are truly proud and honored to present such a large number of exceptional talented zine artists and hopefully this book will give you a look into a culture which has brought us so many fantastic zines.

Skal vi danse?/Shall we dance?

The film ‘Shall We Dance?’ is an intriguing investigation of the word dance. It consists of a voice-over text and a collection of different visual narrations whose mutual arrangement seem to adapt to the spoken words. Combining the humoristic with a bone-dry seriousness, the film displays a sequence of peculiar snapshots, whose compositions and connotations reveal a choreography, in which the dancer is absent. Between documentary and fiction the film slides off the dance floor and asks a more universal question: “How Can We Know the Dancer from the Dance?” Yeats
‘Shall We Dance?’ is a suggestive and captivating collaborative project with the four Danish artists Soeren Aagaard, Magnus Clausen, Peter Larsen and Jörgen Michaelsen.
Premiere Friday the 28th. of August 18:20-19:00.

A solo exhibtion by Piotr Lakomy
The young Polish artist Piotr Lakomy aka Joe83, educated at "The Polish Institute of Fine Art' in Zielona Góra, has been called one of the most original young Polish painters today.
His works is based on a long tradition of painting that can be traced back to the early Polish avant-garde pioneers such as Henryk Stażewski, Wassily Kandinsky and Russian Casimir Malevich.
Piotr Lakomy works with painting, collage, sculpture and drawing, and it's especially what happens between these medias that interests him. Style wise there is a clear connection to the history of abstract art.
This time, TTC Gallery has invited Piotr Lakomy to personally install one of his major works in the gallery, along with a series of drawings, which reflect the thematics of being an artist without a studio, a man without a house or a person with no nationality.
These are topics that interest the young artist. And with a past in Poland's fledgling graffiti history, and a desire to create on site specific locations, outside the walls of the studio, Piotr try to define what it means to be polish in a country which appears to be in falling appart, since the majority of young Poles are fleeing abroad to get a bit of the western wealth.

A solo exhibition by Alex Lukas
Alex Lukas currently work and live in Philadelphia and has been a member of the art collective Space 1026 for little over a year. This solo exhibition will present his recent work.
In his pieces he work with and combine a lot of different material and medias like watercolor, ink, gouache, acrylic, enamel, silkscreen and spray paint, cut outs and collage.
The result is an incredible detailed and complete expression that evolves around an apocalyptic near future that takes place in landscapes of nature and urbanisme.

Book Release
The French photo collective JSBJ or “Je Suis Une Bande De Jeunes” just completed this amazing photo-book which will be released in TTC Gallery.
Among the contributing artists you will find Hannah Modigh who showed her prize-winning “Hillbilly Heroin, Honey” exhibition at TTC this past summer. You can also find Danish Marten Damgaard and Canadian Jimmy Limit who both have several zines for sale in our zine shop.
Along with the release we will throw a small exhibition where some of the best photos will be displayed.

The exhibition "HUS"("HOUSE" in english) at Helsingør libary will be showing individual works of art by TTC in form of collage and photos. The project is a research of identity and space, that will focus on social structures, rituals and values that is related to the way we live today, this is both in a historical perspective and with focus on the factors that will shape tomorrows way of living.
Under what circumstances exist the phenomenon "to live" and why do we choose the space we surround ourself with?

“Shoboshobo recent drawings feat. Tetsunori Tawaraya”
The exhibition will show drawings from the French artist Mehdi Hercberg aka Shoboshobo and also feature a collaborative project with the Japanese artist Tetsunori Tawaraya.
Mehdi Hercberg is an illustrator, musician, artist and teacher of multimedia graphic design in Paris.
His project Shoboshobo originally involved Japanese visual artists and musicians and toured through Japan as an art bus with interactive and collaborative happenings taking place in different places.
Shoboshobo is also creating clothes mostly monsters full color jumpers and teeshirts. His graphic works features several magazines and books such as Kramers Ergot, Pictoplasma, Rojo, Nieves, Dazed and confused, Pig, Tokyon, Code, Modart …
He collaborates with several arists such as Hendrik Hegray, Jonas Delaborde, Andy Bolus, Yu Matsuoka, Stephane Prigent, Andrea Crews, Sumi ink Club, Doma …
And showed his works in several countrys such as Japan, France, Canada, Sweden, Italy, USA, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, South America …

TTC / Telefon Til Chefen show the exhibition "Væg-Tæppe" at Hvidovre Hovedbibliotek.
For this exhibition the members of TTC have work around the commen theme "Tapestry"or more direct translated "wall-rug".
To the exhibition there was produced a handmade book "TTC No 06" which shows the proces, inspiration, sketches and material that didn't make it to the wall. The book was made in a limeted edition of 50 and the last two copy will be for display at the exhibition along with other zines made by TTC.

Armeret med pensel, blyant, kuglepen, speedmarker og andet indtager ca. 40 kunstnere hver deres væg i udstillingssalene.
Kun med de forhåndenværende redskaber betegner, markerer og indtager kunstnerne væg og rum i Kunsthal Charlottenborg.
Værkerne i glas og ramme bliver hjemme, kun aktionen og håndens værk, afleveret og aftrykt direkte på væggen, vil stå tilbage.
Kunstnerne har adgang til væggene fra den 5. januar. Kunsthal Charlottenborg åbner dørene den 17. januar, men frem til 25. januar vil udstillingen være i proces.
De besøgende har således adgang til et åbent værksted, hvor kunstnerne kigges over skulderen i deres arbejde med væggene.

OhhMaryMary is a collaborative art factory from Copenhagen consisting of the two girls ”Mix Music Mary” and ”Graphic Mary”.
You’ll hear them rap in homemade videos made at their virtual workspace called MaryOffice. It’s Mary & Mary on the beat and it is Mary & Mary in the video!
Sometimes they also make video for other bands …if they like them and if they inspire them.
This earned them a ”Danish Music Award” for ”Best Music Video” in 2007 when they made the video for Danish twogirlact JaConfetti.

ZüRICH Zine Sezession

The 14th of december TTC will be participating in the
Independent Publisher's Fair : Zûrich Zine Sezession 2008
organized by Rollo Press and Nieves.
The passionate, independent and devoted independent publisher
community still succeeds in providing an alternative to the
commercial publishing industry.
Zines continue to be made in
cellars, bedrooms, on kitchen tables and living room tables,
and reach an established audience of likeminded people who
stay informed of upcoming titles by word of mouth. What remains
unique about this form of production is the direct link between
producers and consumers, which allows for radical uncensored
forms of communication that would struggle to compete a
traditional economic context.
The inaugural "Zürich Zine Sezession" is devoted to independent
publishing, and will provide a platform for 30 leading
representatives of the scene to exhibit and sell their works.
On the 14th of December 2008 the entire exhibition space of
the Perla-Mode building in Zürich's Langstrasse district will
be transformed into an Artist's Book fair, where the work of a
number of influential independent publishers can be viewed and
purchased.

Friday, september 26th the talented swedish photographer Hannah Modigh will present her poetic and melancholic photographs from the small poor mountain city St. Charles, Virginia. Trailerparks and poor white trash americans are the motives in this portrait of a piece of America, tucked away between misty mountains and magnificent scenery.Between ramshackle trailer homes, shotguns and pickup trucks, wretched dreams and persistent poverty Hannah Modigh has found the intimate, close, lonely and desperate moments and portrayed them in a series of photographs that in a dream-like light find their balance between the beautiful nature photography and the harsh raw portraits documentation.
The Swedish photographer was born and now live in Sweden but grew up in Madras in India where her father worked for UNICEF. In addition to her photography she herself work as a volunteer with the homeless in Stockholm and has previously made the photo projects "Internal lightning" and "Sweet thirteen" that documents danish sex workers and a 13-year-old heroin addict
It is the sole and harsh destinies that are being processed in Hannah Modighs photographic works, but produced and visualized in a beautiful poetic imagery, the focus is on the essentials and intimate in the picture. As she says in an interview: "Lots of people take photos of everyday situation that show things as harsh and ugly. I’d rather go to a place that is rough and try to find the beauty in the people. And I also believe that it's easier to embrace the content if the picture looks beautiful. I don’t like shoving a message in people’s faces."

Reception for MASKEPI at Alt_cph
The 22nd of september the art duo Emil Alsbo and Levent Engin present their 128 pages collection of drawn, modulated and photographed masks together with silkscreen printed posters with motives from the book.
The self produced book "MASKEPI" is publicized by E&A BOOKS (Engin & Alsbo) and is an exploration and visuel adaption of the classic artform, which reproduce and interpret everything from antic aztec masks to new-classics horror masks from "Scream" to the "Chainsaw Massacre".

Release on the magazine "Museum Paper"This friday the first issue of the maga-zine "Museum Paper" will hit the street and deal with the international alternative art scene.
In this firsts issue the underground artscene which has it's spring in and around the skate environment will be in focus.
The invited artists will show their work through photos, text and drawings.
Museum paper which is publicized by Museum Studio has like TTC it's root in the zine culture that moves in the underground of the established art scene with it's small DIY publications.
And it is in areas just like this Museum Paper will find it's contributers.
With a changing thematic optic the alternative art scene will be explored through a large scale of the most interesting and talented artists right now.

TTC has since they started been one of the only exponents and presenters of the graphic zine scene in this country. Until now this culture have lived a fairly hidden life in Denmark and we are therefor very proud to present the first exhibition of international zines and self-publicized books on danish soil.
With "Zne Soup" you will have the opportunity to explore a wide selection of zines, book and original work from the broad spectra of participating artists.

An exhibition and book-reception for the book "Kattemad" (Catfood)Smittekilde started out as a fanzine back in 1998 as one of the first exponents for the danish graphic zine culture. The ambition was to show experimenting graphics and underground comics from in- and outside the country.
After 10 years Smittekilde do not longer publish the fanzine but has evolved and now produces handmade books, silkscreen posters and vinyl records on the small and exclusive label/publisher by same name.
At TTC gallery Smittekilde will present their latest publication, the silkscreen printed book "Kattemad".
100 pages of work by the young and talented artists Zimon R, LucaLuca and Loke.
Original pieces from the book and other work by the artists will also be exhibit at TTC.
13 Bullits

13 bullits is a video project consisting of 13 videos to the music of "Snake and Jet Amazing Bullit Band".13 tracks randomly handed out to some of Denmark's most talented young up coming artists.
No rules, no demands and no money. Simple guidelines which resulted in a broad spectra of videos with a strong felling of energy and DIY creativity.
All the videos will be compiled on a DVD which can be purchased at TTC.
Handmade

TTC proudly presents the one day exhibition "Handmade"Throughout the night TTC gallery will be filled with handmade posters from around the world and one by one the posters will be pealed of the wall as they are sold.
Artist from countries like Canada, Belgium, Germany and Denmark and silkscreen printed posters from Seripop, Smittekilde, TTC, Bongoút among others are to be found on december 8th 2006.

TTC proudly presents the first show in their new gallery."With Bill Nash" is a solo exhibition by the danish artist Johan Nørgaard Pedersen (b.1978). Since the 90's he has dedicated all his time and his autodidact drawing skills to tell the amazing and stunning stories about the Chicago cop Bill Nash.
In over 30 self publicized albums Bill Nash has shot and sworn his way through an endless stream of crooks and badguys assisted by his loyal sidekick Andy Biggs.
